Gourmet Dinner Today!

Dino called me up for a pre wedding shoot at this nice Changi cottage yesterday. OMG, it was SO hard to find. Apparantly Mr LKY had spend quite a fair bit of time there after we seperated from Malaya. Our PG of the day was Mr JoHo.. I had the honour to try his EOS Mark 1D with the cult 85mm F1.2 ‘L’ lenses.. it was one hell of a stunner!

Couple was lovely and best of all, the shoot ended with BBQ! To top it up, the spread was not the usual BBQ lor.. it was nice stuff like scallops, lamb chop, veal, prawns, satay, chicken wings, etc cooked to gromet standards cuz our couple is in F&B. One of the nicest BBQ I had man!

Dino will editing the footages including my steadycam stuff. Should turn out pretty nice

Here is a highlight which was done for a short day job 4mths back. Joseph and Diana are Burmese hence the interesting red dress towards the end. It was interesting to shoot a church ceremony in Burmese! I didnt understand a thing!

Ben & Joo’s Pre Wedding Video

Finally completed Ben and Joo’s pre wedding MV. It was one hectic day shoot. It was the first time I met the PG and he was shooting fast n furious! I didn’t even have a chance to take the cam out of my bag! Anyway, all the photos in there r video snap shots so if u folks wanna do a pre wedding, its best to get them from the PG for best results! It was a blessing that they were a really nice couple n sooooo natural when it comes to smooching!

Oops, gotto go attend to my other back logs now.. Video cant be up until they approve it so stay tuned…

13 OCCET Reunion Exercise

During the president evening, I met 3 of my old pals from NSF days. That was wa…y back and Kok Peng suggested that it would be nice to have a reunion. Well, last night I met another 2 of em and decided its a sign for me to get it rolling. 11 years of lost connections!

So far, I have gathered 26/46. Not too bad but its pretty tough still. May try my luck with Facebook/ Friendster etc. Hope these folks are all PC freaks all it’s going to be tough! Oops I gotta prep my steadicam for tomolo’s camero shoot now.

Got back to cp for a NS evening. it was nice talking to new and old faces. Not to forget the free food!

Kopi Session with Master JoHo!

Just finished packing up for my next business trip. Yo, and I had to pass my merlin to mentor Dino with brought Jonathan Ho along. Johnathan is the man behind Expressively JoHo and I have liked his photos since his clubsnap days. Nice guy with no airs just like Dino. I think these chaps are a nice click. Its a pity I didnt know them earlier or I might have quite a wedding scene with all the pros there! Yawn * * time to sleep n wake up to Korea!

President’s Garden Reception Evening

Got to visit the Istana for an annual National day reception hosted by Mr President. Hundreds of Officers turned up but no camera was allowed (aiyoh..). It was a lovely day and I wished my vcam was with me! A time lapse would have been great.

I had a great chat with ma long lost army buddies.

Anyway, there was a nice garden with hordes of guests and food laying around. Mr Nathan came with MPs Teo CH and Han EJ. There as one more lady but I didnt recall her name. Got to speak to Mr Han. He is really tall and pretty stern. I was quite surprised as we were starting to eat and he started aa conversation.

“Eh, Eh..” The regular chaps were a little stunned so I started talking. He asked, “How is your unit?” I heard wrongly and started to talk about the Istana. Man, so malu!! Ok, he repeated his question so I answered. Anyway, the contents cant be blog so…

Overall, it was an eye opener to see how nice the place is and the view was fantastic. Would be great for one to visit once in a lifetime

Colombo Food Rules

Well, I’m in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka for 3 days and the food rocks! Took some tiger prawns in a thick curry sauce which smelled of some kinda grass, spices and coconut milk. The best curry i had in my life but it was pretty costly too!

Colombo is a little worn out but there are a lot of tress and greenary. They have a hard time here due to insecurity and the pay doesnt work out for the standard of living. A Macdonald’s meal (my global inflation meter benchmark) is about SGD5 and the average new engineer pay here is USD400. Howz that for a start? So my SG friends, be happy!
