Joke + Frida SDE

 

Joko and Frida are from Indonesia. The wedding was really touching and different from the usual. There was dancing, singing and a narrative photo montage. It was extremely challenging in an outdoor environment with almost zero lighting. I had to use external lighting to pull it off. And oh yes, I LOVE THAT FLOWY VEIL SHOT SO MUCH!!! Well done by DANG BRIDAL.

All the best to their new lives and its a wrap for me for 2008!

Dec HWM Published!!

Hoo hoo! My article is out on HWM Dec copy. Feels good to see my stuff appear on a magazine that I have grown up with. Oh but they posted an ugly photo of me handling the cam! Anyway, it was based on 2 cameras but they posted it based on one. Hence the wording sounds a little weird.

Gary + Serene SDE (the NIPPLE people)

Record BREAKING. Today, I did my personal BEST. 2.5hrs shooting, 3hrs Editing n rendering. I am not going to attempt this again but today’s couple is a relative so.. it was ok if I didn’t make it. It was rainy day, was really difficult to shoot due to the absolutely DARK corridor. Gary had a tough time faced with the stone faced sistars.. Muaw ha ha he had to eat everything by himself! NASTY. Anyway, this is another unusual video for me due to the gatecrash focus as that is all I had! No tea ceremony, no travelling, no anything! Oh ya, the song was a request..

Korea Wedding Photos Anyone?

I was thinking of hooking up a couple who would like to take their pre wedding photos in Korea, by a local studio. Its not easy due to language issues but I may try for one couple. The exchange rate is very advantageous now so its sort of the best time to do it. I would think the package would not exceed SGD3600 exclusive of lodging. The only problem is how to ship the goods back to Singapore. The studio would prob need to do it or you can send a DHL/Fedex guy to pick it up. The lodging is not that expensive. You could get back with a meal for SGD15 maximum and the hotel will cost SGD200 per night for two. Pretty ok for a pre wedding honeymoon. Transportation is easy for Singaporeans since they have a very good MRT system. The taxis (silver ones) are not that expensive too.

As for me, I only like to shoot the pre wedding video in the lovely Korean studio! Ok, may be if we are friend enuf I will take the couple for some sight seeing. Palaces, shopping district, happening local uni shopping area, etc. You have more than enuf to do for a week. Oh yes, u need a week as u have to choose the photos and they only shoot with Film. No digital stuff.

Don + Shing Yee SDE (Gatsby Team)

This wedding was extremely tough becuz I was tired from Edwin’s Wedding the day before, plus I had recovered from Fever in Korea the same week. Touching down on Fri, shooting on Sat and Sunday is just too much! Oh well, this is my last consecutive wedding to ensure the quality will always be good. Anyway, the crucial thing was the wedding started from 4.30am! The funny thing was they had a very interesting gatecrash segment which was totally enjoyable. I was trying hard to contain my laughter. Wah ha ha the most interesting event of the day was Shing Yee’s brother was locked in their new house while the whole entourage almost moved out to the next location! Message of the day: Dun leave home without yr Brother!

Edwin + Cecilia SDE (Ironman + Pepper)

Ironman & Pepper had  an amazing lightning wedding! 6mths of knowing each other and ta-da!! Mr & Mrs Edwin. Anyway, the nickname is from their friends cuz they sort of watched Ironman together and that lead to their union. The solemnization was very sweet (I like this solemniser) and wedding dinner was really nice too. There was singing and a sword ceremony. Cosy little event (only i didnt like the ballroom lighting which was not camera friendly). The gatecrash opening was a little something special I did for them. I broke my editing norm to accomodate it. Something new again for me

Jon + Shirley SDE

This was one very challenging SDE as the solenisation was at 3pm! I managed to squeeze the SDE out by 8pm in 4hrs. It was really tough. Heh he I will rethink about taking such challenges in future. Anyway, the groom Jon is a tough guy with a BIG heart! I could tell he loves Shirley a lot n of course, Shirley too. All the best to them!
